The Whisenant House
3331
Oakleaf Avenue (between Homestead & Elderberry)
The Whisenant's decorate their
front porch and a part of the yard every Halloween night. With a
small
cemetery and Halloween props that move when triggered by guests, trick or
treaters are sure to scream and laugh.
What takes
the most time for Whisenant is all of the pumpkins he
intricately carves for the occasion. Whisenant's favorite part of his
decorations this year is the skeleton that pops up from behind a
tombstone. The newest addition this year is the pillar of faces,
with a gargoyle fixed on the top perch.

Dare to journey down the trail within this haunted graveyard
this Halloween.
Schoening House

W. Dale Way
The family sign in the driveway is in the shape of a coffin. An
iron fence surrounds a "cemetery" in the side yard. Dummies of
ghosts and goblins greet visitors at the front door year round.
Trick-or-treaters will have to spin a dial to find out what jar
from which they'll get their candy. A 1971 Cadillac Superior
hearse will be set up in the driveway for Halloween. One coffin standing up in the
cemetery holds a vampire. A
hanging victim dangles in the air as well as a
skeleton. A guillotine is in the cemetery along with a statue of
the Grim Reaper.

While much of the cemetery will be
disassembled after Halloween - like the gravestones and the
fragile props - the coffin furniture, skulls and skeletons will
remain in the house.
